Energy Taxes

Dutch and Belgian governments tax electricity and gas usage. In the Netherlands, this tax is called Energiebelasting (Energy Tax) and in Belgium, it is called Federale Bijdrage (Federal Contribution). Different rate structures apply to electricity and gas.

Below you will find the rates currently in effect. Should you have any questions about Energiebelasting or Federale Bijdrage, please do not hesitate to contact us.
